I Support Source of Income Protection For Renters In Grandview Heights
Currently, people seeking rental housing in Grandview Heights can be discriminated against based on their source of income. Called “source of income discrimination,” this practice means that renters with income from rental or income assistance programs, alimony/child support, or veterans’, social security or disability benefits, can be denied housing.
Grandview Heights could join other communities like Bexley, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, and Worthington to pass an ordinance to prevent source of income discrimination.
This policy change would contribute to a broader effort to improve access to affordable housing in Central Ohio, and would affirm Grandview’s commitment to being a welcoming and diverse community.

By signing this petition, I voice my support for the Grandview Heights City Council to consider and develop an ordinance to prohibit source of income discrimination for prospective tenants and agree to have my name added to the a publicly posted petition.
