Building an anti-racist Grandview through reflection, education, and policy change.

Building an Anti-Racist Grandview

Reflection

We want to engage in action that is rooted in reflection. If you have thoughts related to diversity, equity, and diversity in Grandview, let us know. We’d love to have you share your voice on our blog.

Education

America, and by extension, Grandview Heights, was founded on racist principles and practices. To become anti-racists requires every community member to commit to learning new ways of thinking. GAIN tries to contribute to those world by offering relevant conversations and educational events.

Policy Change

Grandview gets to decide what kind of community we will become. We believe we have only good things to gain by being more diverse. Our policies and local ordinances should reflect this value. We are currently focused on housing, education, and policing.

In August, 2020, Grandview City Council declared racism a public health crisis. See how it’s going here.

Monthly Meetings

Join us the second Tuesday of every month for our monthly meeting. Each month, we do introductions, discuss future events, and give updates on what we are working on.
